Aurora Galore

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve tried to be a little more experimental with my style of photography and break away from the signature look I seem to have been doing for a while. Its always good fun to test out new ideas and no one better to try them on than Aurora Galore – who’s becoming a regular face at Tigz Rice Studios. Breaking out the sulphur coloured backdrop, which had laid untouched for several months by this point – the aim was to create some high energy head shots to match her Aurora’s fiery stage persona. We also tried out a new lighting technique on her, with the key light directly in front of the model rather than from an angle. There were many great images from the shoot, but this one stood out as being are mutual favourite. As for the sulphur, well it lost out to a monochrome finish, but it has made its colour debut elsewhere in recent work!
