Pin Up Photography with Elle Amour

As a photographer, I tend to progress naturally towards the dark and macabre – so when burlesque performer and classically trained dancer Elle Amour popped into the studio a few weeks ago for an Elvgren inspired pin up shoot, I knew it was going to stretch me out of my comfort zone a little! After digging the white background roll out from the very back of the colorama pile, we set up a very minimal boudoir set, which could then be manipulated with a peachy background colour to compliment the tones of Elle’s skin, as well as some other more cheeky images which worked well on a sky blue.
What I love most about shooting Elle is her grace and elegance in from of the camera, posing effortlessly from head to toe. Here are some of my favourites from the day, where Elle can be seen wearing a selection of gorgeous vintage finds from her own collection.
