Erotic Nude: Banbury Cross

Oct 7, 2014

2014 has been an incredible year of growth for me, not just in my personal life but as a photographer also. If you’re going to hop out of one comfort zone, why not follow it with a skip and a jump out of a couple more at the same time! As well as my mission to develop an outdoor location portfolio this year, I’ve been really keen to further develop my fine art and erotic nude portfolio to really explore the definition of ‘erotic’. Whilst unquestionably linked to the boudoir and lingerie photography that I shoot on a daily basis, the act of completely removing the protective barrier of clothing can lead to feeling exposed and vulnerable. On the other hand, a bond of implicit trust between photographer and model can provide a liberating and empowering photographic experience. I’ve been really privileged to have three incredible women agree to work with me on a series of art and erotic nudes for my portfolio over the last couple of months, each presenting their own personality through a series of erotic nude images. The first of these three woman is burlesque performer Banbury Cross, who I photographed at Murder Mile Studios back in April.

These images were shot on a Canon 5D Mk III using an Elinchrom Quadra with a Rotalux 135 Octa Softbox attachment and edited in Adobe Lightroom with Photoshop.

Tigz I loved your outdoor equestrian shoot, I stroked the screen at your Anna outdoor shoot….again something new, and equally divine. Love the simplicity of the curve of her waist, shot from behind. Really strong! Love reading your blogs this year & seeing so much diversity x
