Sweden is quite possibly my favourite country in the world, so when the opportunity arose for inimitable pinup model and vintage hair stylist Miss Victory Violet and I to return for another tour of our Vintage Pinup Makeover shoots in October, I couldn’t wait to hop on that plane! 

Returning to the glorious Hotel Pigalle, we checked into room 115 in preparation for our Pinup Princess sessions. If you’ve not heard of Hotel Pigalle before, it is a decadent boutique hotel in the heart of Gothenburg and every single room is completely bespoke. Featuring golden wallpaper and luxurious soft furnishings with contrasting black glossy woodwork, room 115 was as on-brand for my business colours as you could possibly get!

On arrival, our wonderful clients were treated to the ultimate Miss Victory Violet experience, with full make up and a perfectly coiffed vintage hairstyle to compliment their individual style. I love working with Miss Victory Violet because her make up skills are flawless and there’s NEVER a hair out of place – it makes my job as photographer so much easier. Not to mention she’s an awesome travel companion too! Once fully pampered, it was my turn to guide our clients into figure-flaunting poses and document their incredible bodies in all their fabulous glory.

Later in the week, we switched rooms for the Belle Suite – a beautiful purple themed hotel suite on the first floor, complete with spacious lounge and kitchenette, decadent dressing room and a statement boudoir with a beautiful velvet canopy over the bed. It is an absolute showstopper of a hotel suite, offering a wider variety of nooks to shoot in, making it the perfect location for our higher tier Glamour Queen package – and perfectly on brand for Miss Victory Violet’s purple colour scheme this time!
