Hello, gorgeous! If you’re like me and have spent ages trying to justify the purchase of a Catherine D’lish robe, then this is officially your signal to stop everything and order one this very second, because Seattle burlesque performer Icy London has just mic dropped us all with this STUNNING set of images from her most recent Virtual Boudoir Shoot, featuring two gorgeous D’lish robes. Offering us top to toe glamour, I’ve not been able to stop thinking about this series of images since we shot them in February and I’m sure you’re going to love them as much as I do!
If you’ve not met Icy London before, Here’s a quote from her website that sums her up perfectly… “From her silk-stocking roots, she embodies luxuriousness and opulence. Swathed in frosty elegance, her performances are enchanting and her sultry intensity is sure to leave you with a chill down your spine.” Want to know more about this sensual seductress? I caught up with Icy London below…
Icy London
Name: Icy London
Occupation: Burlesque performer by night, attorney by day
How would your best friend describe you? Hard working, creative, goal driven, a leader, and dedicated
Name three things that you always carry with you? Red lipstick, sunglasses, and roll-on perfume
What was the last book you read? We Too: Essays on Sex Work and Survival
Do you remember how you originally found me? We first met when arranging a shoot with INGA, Reigning Queen of Burlesque 2018
What inspired you to book a photoshoot? After seeing how beautifully INGA’s shoot went, I knew I had to do one, too. When lockdown cancelled everyone’s travel plans, I was bummed that we wouldn’t be able to make it happen as we’d discussed. I was so excited when Tigz announced virtual shoots, I signed up immediately. Plus, not being able to perform or go anywhere, I wanted to get glammed up and do something to recreate that feeling in quarantine.
Who would play Icy London in a movie of your life? Christina Hendricks
Whats the most interesting thing about you that the internet doesn’t know about you yet? I once auditioned for American Idol
Tell us about one of the outfits you wore for your shoot – why do you love it? I wore my pink marabou dressing gown from Catherine D’lish. It’s the most elegant, dramatic, and glamorous thing I own. What do you mean my wealthy husband suddenly died under mysterious circumstances?!
Describe your shoot experience? Extremely professional. Tigz knew exactly how to pose me from halfway around the world, and made me feel absolutely gorgeous the entire time.
What song gets you on the dancefloor? Circus by Britney Spears
What are you most proud of in your life so far? It would either be performing in the closing act at BHoF in 2019, my first round-trip trapeze trick in a live show, or my first blue ribbon in a horse show. There might be a theme here.
What is your top body confidence tip? Be you. The world will adjust.
What will your autobiography be called? Icy London, the Brazen Barrister
If you could be a model for any brand, which brand would it be and why? Definitely Savage x Fenty, because of the fierce designs and fearless celebration of body positivity and inclusivity.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking about booking a boudoir shoot of their own? Just book it already! The end result is something you will love forever. And when you look back on this pandemic, you’ll remember that there was glamour and beauty, too.
What exciting project are you working on right now? I’m the Contracts and Oversight lead for BurlyCon and the Interactive Performance Director for the Seattle Erotic Art Festival and we are well underway for making the 2021 events happen!
