If you’d asked me back in January if Virtual Photoshoots could ever be a thing, I’d probably have laughed at you. I’d have made excuses about technology and connection lag and everything in between – and not without good reason. Perfecting my Virtual Boudoir Shoot package very quickly became my 2020 mission, and here I am, 60+ Virtual Boudoir Shoots down, feeling super proud of these beautiful images I’ve created through the internet with The Siren, which were shot remotely via her Canon DSLR in full RAW.
The Siren is no stranger in front of my lens, having previously shot with me in person in the Art Deco Boudoir last year. Want to know more about The Siren about her shoot experience? Read on…

The Siren
How would your best friend describe you? “A maniacal minx” – that’s verbatim!
What was the last book you read? I’ve been really into the ‘The Stormblessed Archive’ over lockdown. It’s a fantasy series on an epic scale by Brandon Sanderson. It’s been the perfect escape from the covid pandemic and I can’t wait for the next book to be published. I’ve got it on pre-order already!
Do you remember how you originally found me? I’ve been a long time follower of The Lingerie Addict and on the burlesque scene so suspect I had seen various people posting about you. I don’t think it was any one thing, but more a cumulative nudging towards.
What inspired you to book a photoshoot? I’m not going to have this arse forever, so should document it whilst it’s still fabulous.
Tell us about one of the outfits you wore for your shoot – why do you love it? My Catherine D’lish robe is something I’ve been saving up for about five years, and it’s an absolute dream come true. It’s vastly impractical, and I have to hide it from my dog, but the feeling I get when I wear it is marvellous.

Describe your shoot experience? As this was a virtual shoot it was a new experience for me. Luckily I had some help from my Housemate in positioning the camera and focus which meant I could really focus on posing. It was so easy! No faff with travel to contend with, and I could see the results instantly. I will certainly be booking again.
What song gets you on the dancefloor? I don’t dance. I make withering eye contact across the floor to anyone approaching me, lest they get the wrong idea. I would much rather be sitting in an auditorium listening to a live orchestra, or perched and sipping cocktails with a live jazz band.
What is your top body confidence tip? As someone who has a multitude of physical problems due to a chronic illness, I struggle with the concept of being confident in my body. Why should I be? It’s unreliable as hell. That said, getting into photography and creating my own art has helped massively. By being in control of my image, I have learned to admire it. I have found my beauty through experimentation, and I would say to others, to start small. Learn to love an element of your body, then another, and another after that. You may not ever reach 100%, I certainly haven’t, but at some point, there’ll be a tipping point, where it becomes a positive thing to look in the mirror.

What will your autobiography be called? Whips, Song and a Damn Fine Excel Spreadsheet.
If you could be a model for any brand, which brand would it be and why? Harlow and Fox, for they are the thing lingerie dreams are made from.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking about booking a session of their own? Do it, just do it. There’s nothing to worry about, Tigz will guide you through and get the best out of you. You couldn’t be in safer, or funner (virtual) hands.
