Hello, gorgeous! How are you? Can you believe we’re now a FULL YEAR into a global pandemic?! It’s been one ridiculously tough ride for so many of us – but I’m grateful for my health, grateful to still be running a business, and grateful to all of you for your continued support as I’ve smashed through technological boundaries to make sure I can continue to bring virtual shoot joy into your very own boudoir throughout 2021. Has anyone had a second lockdown birthday yet?
Today I’m bringing you some virtual boudoir joy in the form of incredible Norweigian pinup Miss Kathy Cupcake! This is actually Kathy’s third boudoir shoot with me – one in person and two virtual shoots – and this time we stepped out of the boudoir to shoot against the feature wall in her living room, complimented by some glorious lighting! Want to hear more about Kathy Cupcake’s virtual photoshoot experience? Read on…

Miss Kathy Cupcake
Name: Katrine Vabog / Miss KathyCupcake
Occupation: Assistant manager at a theatre company in Norway – Nittedal Teater – I’m also a project manager, stage manager, costume director in some of our bigger show. And once in a while I direct and/or act in some projects – so a little bit of everything! Sometimes I freelance as a stage manager as well.
How would your best friend describe you? She would describe me as loyal, fun, caring and kind
Name three things that you always carry with you? My phone, lipbalm and sanitiser
What was the last book you read? Last book I finished was Little Women, and am currently reading Pride and Prejudice.
Do you remember how you originally found me? Through Miss Victory Violet! I got my hair cut by her and started following her on social media – then I booked my first boudoir shoot with you and makeover by her in October -19 and started following you.
What inspired you to book a photoshoot? The first time: The combination of a makeover and photoshoot was really a selling point for me – knowing I would have awesome hair and makeup helped me push my own limits and treat myself to a new experience. The virtual photoshoots were really to connect with myself again during this lockdown and get a confidence boost and sense of accomplishment.

Who would play you in a movie of your life? Maybe Melissa McCarthy – that would be fun.
What’s the most interesting thing about you that the internet doesn’t know about you yet? One time literally I walked into Ian McKellen! It was in Oslo, I was 15, and nobody believed me. Later we found out he really was in Oslo for Europride, and then they believed me.
Tell us about one of the outfits you wore for your shoot – why do you love it? I’ve worn lingerie for all of my shoots with you, but my favourite single pieces have to be the blue robe I wore the first virtual photoshoot and the corset I wore at the makeover shoot in Gothenburg. The robe because it’s such a lovely and wearable garment that I use lounging at home. The corset because it’s simply gorgeous. The favourite outfit has to be the last virtual photoshoot – the detailing on the bra, stockings, waist cincher, robe and boudoir shoes – I felt awesome!
Describe your shoot experience? The first time I was really nervous and didn’t know what I was about to take part in. I hadn’t seen much boudoir photos of bigger girls and was worried if it would be ok that I was the size I am. I got to the hotel and was immediately relaxed – pampered with makeup and hairstyling, and then the shoot. Really good directions where you as a model don’t feel like you’re doing anything wrong, you’re just guided to awesome poses with lots of compliments and you’re kind of in a positivity bubble where it’s just you and Tigz with the camera and your confidence is skyrocketing and nothing else matters – no thinking about sizes or negative energy at all. And the virtual photoshoots were the same, except for doing my own hair and makeup and Tigz is talking through a phone! And the excitement to see the photos is beyond anything I imagined – I never thought I, a regular person, could look so good.

What song gets you on the dancefloor? Something with a catchy beat. I’m really eclectic when it comes to music – At the moment there’s a lot of 40s/50s music and showtunes playing on my Spotify
What are you most proud of in your life so far? That’s a hard question. I think it has to be finding my own style and aesthetics, that I’m gradually building my confidence and self-esteem and continually working on myself.
What is your top body confidence tip? Do what you like! Wear the clothes you like, wear the makeup you like, workout the way you want, notice the small things that happens, do things for you and not for others, and don’t put yourself down if you have that piece of cake, you enjoy that cake!
What will your autobiography be called? “Everything is not as it seems”
If you could be a model for any brand, which brand would it be and why? Maybe Miss Candyfloss – I simply adore their dresses! But I wouldn’t say no to any of the other vintage/retro brands either.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking about booking a boudoir shoot of their own? DO IT! Don’t think about it anymore – just push that booking button!
What exciting project are you working on right now? I’m one of the ten finalists for Miss PinUp Norway 2020/2021! It was supposed to be in May 2020, but it was pushed till 2021 because of covid-19. Can’t wait to meet the other finalists and see how this goes… Fingers crossed!
