One of the things that excited me most about Virtual Boudoir Shoots was having access to all of these incredible locations all around the globe. From posing in roll-top bathtubs drenched in lush dappled light underneath woodland canopies, to shooting art nude photography in glorious remote American lakes, we’ve done it all over the past year, It would be impossible to pick a favourite, but one particular virtual shoot that made me gasp audibly on connection was Parisian pinup Audrey’s floral boudoir of dreams – ex-Maison Close hotel in Paris, La Mondaine.
Gothic floral is absolute interior design goals for me, and I’m SO excited to be able to share this set of images on the blog with you today, as well as introduce you to the phenomenal Audrey, who threw so many killer poses at me that it was super hard to choose her final ten edits! Audrey
Occupation: I work as a Marketing Manager for three wineries around the world, based in Paris. Meaning that I build the strategic plans for these wineries, from the range definition, long term strategy to the creation of visuals and activation guidelines. That also comes with some wine tastings regularly, it’s key to try the new vintage releases 😉
How would your best friend describe you? Sparkly, curious, “want-it-all” kind of girl, ambitious, and impatient!
Name three things that you always carry with you? Not very original on this side, my Iphone, a small bottle of water and unfortunately a mask now!
What was the last book you read? I read many books at the same time, but struggle to finish them all. Currently I read a book by Michel Bussi “Gravé dans le sable” + “Gut: The Inside Story of Our Body’s Most Underrated Organ” + a business carreer book “Nice girls don’t get the corner office” + “The Duke & I” because I fell in love with Bridgerton 😉 + the novel my husband is currently writing at home 🙂
Do you remember how you originally found me? I noticed a specific picture from the cocktail bar in London, Fontaines displaying the gorgeous Blossomandbuttercups. There was something more, something strong and fierce that captivated me in those photos, so I went back to look for the photographer and got to discover your page! I was so mesmerized by such beauty AND strength, it encapsulated my vision of feminity, you can be sexy as hell while showing strength and character, and not being a passive object of desire.
What inspired you to book a photoshoot? Some friends actually offered it to me because I had talked to them about you, your amazing pictures and this virtual boudoir shoot offer that intrigued me!
Who would play you in a movie of your life? Blake Lively seems like a good pick! Great actress and better looking than me, to create the myth haha.
Whats the most interesting thing about you that the internet doesn’t know about you yet? Well until a few years ago, very few people knew I was doing photoshoots as a model, or had a model book online (many still don’t as it’s under another name!). I also do quite a few manual activities, like dried flowers compositions, embroidery, and a few years ago I even created my own stuffed toy e-retail brand under the name “Poissons Pop”!
Tell us about one of the outfits you wore for your shoot – why do you love it? One outfit I was longing to shoot with was my black corset. To me that’s one of the sexiest item ever, with its lovely soft fabric, mat laces and its strength that shapes the waist and the body into an object of desire and power.
Describe your shoot experience? It was an amazing day! I had actually booked a specific room in a small ex-Maison Close hotel in Paris, La Mondaine. On the day I was helped by a makeup and hair artist, and she was amazing from the style she pulled out on me and the help to assist me in positioning the phone and light during the shoot! I remember feeling lucky to have your eyes on me, advising me on which pose to get into and thinking it was amazing to have this distance London-Paris experience.
What song gets you on the dancefloor? Jazz music to swing dance definitely! Some Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, and rock n roll definitely too with Johnny Hallyday, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley!
What are you most proud of in your life so far? Managing my way through my career while remaining true to myself (ie not becoming the bragger fake networky boot-licker kind), and doing ok so far! Also continuing to be curious about people and new encounters, which I believe make life richer!
What is your top body confidence tip? “You are never too dressed up!”
What will your autobiography be called? Haha I have no idea yet, and hope to fill it in with novelty quite a lot in the coming years! Something about passions, travels and trying to enjoy the most out of life?
If you could be a model for any brand, which brand would it be and why? Dolce & Gabbana, for I love their outrageous feminity, the exaggeration in everything and their Italian Baroque art de vivre and imaginary. Also how they subtly balance out sobriety, sassiness and excess. Another dream would be Aubade, they are the Pantheon of gorgeous boobs!
What advice would you give to anyone thinking about booking a boudoir shoot of their own? Go for it ! Nothing to regret, just a chance to enjoy a great moment and amazing photos of yourself!
What exciting project are you working on right now? I am currently on a lead for a position in Hong Kong! It requires quite some work but I hope it will work out well. Otherwise in my job, I work on a thrilling project of relaunch of a high-end Rosé Wine Estate, based in Provence, called Château Galoupet. Stay tuned for more news later this year!
