Sometimes, it is nice to just focus on the positive things that have been going on around us. With that in mind, here are the best bits of my June 2017 all wrapped up into one blog post…
First up, my image of the month, which also happens to include pink lingerie. I am absolutely obsessed with pink at the moment, having added a pair of pink jeans and a jacket to my wardrobe very recently too. I LOVE this Olivia set from What Katie Did, which I shot with model Blossom And Buttercups earlier in the month. I actually have a pair of these incredible pink seamed stockings myself (also What Katie Did) and currently looking for an outfit to wear them with!
The best thing I’ve seen on the internet this month has to be these stunning photos taken by Anna Swiczeniuk of Cora Harrington (The Lingerie Addict) for the new Bettie Page Lingerie by Playful Promises collection. I literally cannot stop looking at them, please do check them out.
This month saw the launch of my business rebrand, bringing together six months of design, planning and pretending I know how to code whilst Googling all the answers or bugging my friend Scot when ‘align: centre’ is just not a thing! I am so proud to finally show off the new branding. Of course, I totally wrote a thing about it.
Recently, friend and Underpinnings Museum founder Karolina Laskowska publicly announced that she will be going on hiatus from September to pursue other ventures. I’ve been a fan of Karolina’s lingerie for years and felt very privileged to have a bespoke bra made by her a few years ago. However, I would never have forgiven myself if I hadn’t purchased a full set before she closed the doors, so I invested in the Ara set shown in the close up below. If you’re quick, you may just about be able to get your hands on a few pieces and own a little bit of lingerie history before she heads off to Norway.
Other best bits that made me smile this month: Shooting with Miss Victory Violet and spending a lovely afternoon having lunch by the Thames • The Underpinnings Premiere Soiree at Fontaine’s, which completely sold out. It was so amazing to meet so many like-minded people • Celebrating James’ birthday with a trip to the theatre to see Tape Face Boy • Booking the celebrant for our wedding next year • Spending a weekend in Butlins with my girlfriends • Finding the most awesome tartan wiggle dress in a charity shop for a tenner.
