Okay, gorgeous, hands up if you’re a Disney fan and have a favourite Disney princess! Mine is Moana, which I will happily discuss in the comments section later, but first let me introduce you to this week’s client spotlight, featuring a modern-day take on Belle’s incredible golden yellow dress from Beauty & The Beast. be prepared for some absolute wardrobe envy as we hear more from young adult fantasy author Frost Kay about her virtual shoot experience with me…
Frost Kay
Occupation: Young Adult Fantasy Author
How would your best friend describe you? A certified book addict with an unhealthy obsession with all things mermaids and sour skittles.
Name three things that you always carry with you? A book, a hair tie, and sunglasses
What was the last book you read? The Vanishing Deep
Do you remember how you originally found me? I follow Miss Victory Violet on Instagram and I loved the photos you took of her.
What inspired you to book a photoshoot? I’ve been cooped up at home for over a year due to Covid. Normally, I’m all about dressing up and wearing heels, but I realized I haven’t done any of that in the last year. I wanted to feel pretty again.
What’s the most interesting thing about you that the internet doesn’t know about you yet? I do disaster relief volunteer work with my family. We’ve remodelled a fifth wheel into a home so we can pick up and go whenever there is a need.
Who would play Frost Kay in a movie of your life? Oh lord, Jennifer Lawerence. You’d have to have heaps of humor to live as me. LOL
Tell us about one of the outfits you wore for your shoot – why do you love it? Beauty and the Beast is my favourite fairytale and the yellow dress was a modern-day version of what I imagine Belle’s dress to be like.
Describe your shoot experience? No one has seen my body but my husband and my OBGYN in the last 11 years so I was so nervous. I shouldn’t have been. It was so fun and I had a blast.
What song gets you on the dancefloor? Anything with a latin base.
What are you most proud of in your life so far? My family. I never imagined myself as a mum, but now that I am, my wee ones are my pride and joy.
What is your top body confidence tip? We’re all our worst enemies when it comes to body image. Instead of looking at the flaws, focus on the positives. When you look at the mirror, tell yourself three things that you love about your body. It’s kinda awkward at first but the more you do it, the better you feel.
What will your autobiography be called? How to survive the apocalypse
If you could be a model for any brand, which brand would it be and why? OOOO… this is a hard one. Rosie Red Corsetry & Couture are fantastic. I would love to be part of their team. Their unique approach to clothing is incredible and they celebrate every body type which I absolutely adore.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking about booking a boudoir shoot of their own? Book it now! Don’t stress and pick something out that makes you feel HOT.
What exciting project are you working on right now? I am currently working on a fantasy romance story when the villain is the main character and the hero is the love interest!
