Ever wondered what it would be like to shoot boudoir photography?

If any of those sentences describe you, you’re in the right place, because on April 10th 2017, I will be bringing back my Art Of Boudoir Masterclass for its fourth year.

The Art Of Boudoir Masterclass is perfect for anyone looking to add boudoir to their repertoire of photography skills. Proving popular with seasoned portrait and wedding photographers who want to offer an additional service, the masterclass also attracts photography enthusiasts who are excited by the world of boudoir and want to experience a shoot under the guidance and support of an industry professional.

Drawing from my years of experience and expertise in the realms of burlesque, lingerie and boudoir photography, you’ll spend a day with me, Tigz Rice, in the studio, discovering how to capture your clients at their very best. This is a fully interactive masterclass, giving you the opportunity to learn and develop your skills as a photographer through being physically involved in the process. Bring your camera and make sure it’s fully charged, because you’ll be needing it!

In the morning we’ll start off with a posing game, exploring traditional pin up and boudoir poses. You will practise guiding your subject into a range of standing, sitting and reclining poses, developing your skills in direction as well as establishing a body positive dialogue to use with your clients. We will then introduce a model into the boudoir scenario, where you’ll have a chance to put your new skills to the test: shooting a range of images for your portfolio across a range of different lingerie looks and styles.

Throughout the boudoir masterclass, you will be given the chance to work with both natural light sources and flash – with Elinchrom lighting kindly provided by The Flash Centre – helping you to explore your own unique boudoir style.

In the final hour of the workshop, we’ll talk about boudoir based marketing strategies over tea and cake, giving you an insight into the business side of boudoir photography. From making sure clients turn up prepared for their shoot to managing client expectations before, during and after their time in front of the camera; you will leave my masterclass with the skills you need to add boudoir to your repertoire of photographic skills.

This year my Art of Boudoir Masterclass will be held in the Southport area, with special thanks to Jo Rutherford Photography for generously offering to host the masterclass in her incredible studio. Complete with a selection vintage furniture and plenty of natural light to play with, we will be spoilt with possibilities! Also, having hosted the last three workshops down in the south, this should hopefully make the masterclass more accessible for those in the midlands and further up.
