If any of those sentences describe you, you’re in the right place, because on Friday April 13th 2018, I will be bringing back my Art Of Boudoir Photography Masterclass for its fifth year – and for the very first time, in a central London location!

The Art Of Boudoir Photography Masterclass is perfect for you if you’re looking to add boudoir to your repertoire of photography skills. Proving popular with seasoned portrait and wedding photographers who want to offer an additional service, the masterclass also attracts photography enthusiasts who are excited by the world of boudoir and want to experience a shoot under the guidance and support of an industry professional.

This year, I’m excited to announce that we will be hosted by Fontaine’s, East London’s most decadent Art Deco cocktail bar and one of my absolute favourite places to shoot. Drawing from my years of experience and expertise in the realms of burlesque, lingerie and boudoir photography, you’ll spend a day with me, Tigz Rice, discovering how to capture your clients at their very best in the most beautiful of venues. This is a fully interactive masterclass, giving you the opportunity to learn and develop your skills as a photographer through being physically involved in the process. Bring your camera and make sure it’s fully charged, because you’ll be needing it!

In the morning we’ll start off with a posing game, exploring traditional pin up and boudoir poses. You will practise guiding your subject into a range of standing, sitting and reclining poses, developing your skills in direction as well as establishing a body positive dialogue to use with your clients. We will then introduce a model into the boudoir scenario, where you’ll have a chance to put your new skills to the test: shooting a range of images for your portfolio across a plethora of different lingerie looks and styles.

This year, I am delighted to announce that we have THREE incredible models joining us for the Art Of Boudoir Photography Masterclass. Joining us from up north, and returning from last year’s masterclass, we have the delectable Emmerald Barwise who helped me create this stunner of an image, which has been a firm favourite amongst you all on social media over the last 9 months (pictured below). Also joining us from up north is Katy Croft – it will be my first time working with her so I’m pretty excited to see what we shoot together!

Representing the London modelling contingent, we have the inimitable Sam Elson of BlossomAndButtercups, who you may recognise from a previous shoot with her at Fontaine’s in 2017! (pictured below) I’m so delighted to have Sam back, she is an absolute dream to photograph!

Throughout the boudoir masterclass, you will be given the chance to get to grips with both continuous light and flash photography – with Elinchrom lighting kindly provided by The Flash Centre – helping you to explore your own unique boudoir style.In the final hour of the workshop, we’ll talk about boudoir photography marketing strategies over tea and cake, giving you an insight into the business side of boudoir photography. From making sure clients turn up prepared for their shoot to managing client expectations before, during and after their time in front of the camera; you will leave my masterclass with the skills you need to add boudoir to your repertoire of photographic skills.
