I have to admit that when I talk about Photography Farm, I get super excited. Head Farmer Lisa has been working her unicorns to the grindstone over the last couple of weeks and has just launched a brand spanking new website, along with the official timetable for Farm Week 15!
For those of you who have managed to miss all my previous posts on Photography Farm, let me fill you in. Its a brilliant concept founded by photographer Lisa Devlin, with the aim of bringing together like-minded photographers from all over to learn, inspire, grow, energise, rejuvenate and create. Held at Ridge Farm in Dorking, Photography Farm will be flinging open its solid oak doors from the 16th to the 20th of February 2015 to host 5 incredible days of non residential talks and workshops from some of the world’s leading professional photographers. This year’s speaker list is pretty mind blowing, featuring Matt Miller (Our Labor Of Love), The Kitcheners and newlywed power couple Brook and Tavis Johnson. I attended as a mentor for the first time in January and was blown away by how much I learned in just a few short days – and I was the one doing the mentoring! Amongst all this awesome, I’m really excited to announce that on Monday 16th February 2015, I have been invited back to teach my Fine Art Of Boudoir Masterclass at Photography Farm for it’s second year!
The Fine Art Of Boudoir Masterclass is perfect for anyone looking to add Boudoir to their repertoire of photography skills as an additional service for Wedding Photography packages. Drawing from my years of experience in the realms of burlesque, lingerie and boudoir, you’ll spend a day with me in glorious four poster boudoir, learning everything from how to highlight your client’s best assets through the art of posing, whilst concealing or flattering those problems areas your client may feel self conscious about.
In the morning, there will be a short interactive posing demonstration, where you will have the chance to practise guiding your subject into a range of standing, sitting and reclining poses to add to your arsenal of skills. We will then introduce a model into the boudoir scenario, where you’ll have a chance to put your new skills to the test and shoot a range of images for your portfolio across a range of different lingerie looks and make up styles. Throughout the boudoir masterclass, you will be given the chance to work with both available light and Elinchrom studio lighting, helping you to explore and find your own unique boudoir style.
In the final hour of the workshop, I will present a boudoir based marketing strategy over tea and cake, giving you an insight into how things run at Tigz Rice Studios. From making sure clients turn up prepared for their shoot to managing client expectations before, during and after their time in front of the camera, you will leave with a whole other string to your bow plus some great portfolio images.
Sounds rather exciting doesn’t it? If you want to see what we got up to last year, you can read all about the Art Of Boudoir Masterclass on my blog. Alternatively, why not see what a couple of the attendees, Zoe and Ellie, wrote on their blogs about the experience. Spaces are limited on all workshops and masterclasses, so book early to avoid disappointment. I hope to see a few of you there!
